The idea of returning to high school is not a happy one for me… doing it over as a senior… I thought might be even worse. Or would I enjoy it more as a wiser or at least more mature person.
This book draws some parallels between high school and retirement parks while sparking a few forgotten memories for anyone old enough to remember “Rebel without a Cause”. It might also provide good catch-up reading for grandchildren.
It is fast paced. full of fun facts, and if you blink, you might miss something important. It is a well observed, humorous interpretation of our culture, past and present.
Patrick Harding’s book takes an ironic look at retirement parks or villages… booming across the southern states. Before you decide to join one, read this book.
